Minimal Game beats a Cosmopolitan Guide

I skimmed some lists on Amazon.com recently, and was quite surprised that Minimal Game has captured the second position on the list of "Hot New Releases in Human Sexuality" aka. "Sex." My book is beating out a guide published by Cosmopolitan with the title "Satisfy a Woman Every Single Time."

I don't want to know how much money they have put into advertising it, while on the other hand Minimal Game sells only due to word of mouth. But without wanting to sound overly arrogant, I probably have more experience than all the "Editors of Cosmopolitan" put together, so I rightly deserve to beat them.

Thanks for the support guys!

  1. Congrats Aaron!

If you don't mind me asking, how many copies have you sold so far?

  2. Hey Aaron,

I'm trying to order it from Amazon but no matter what shipping option I pick, it says it will arrive after Christmas. Is this just an estimate on Amazon's side because they can't predict the POD speed?

Anyone else who has ordered please let me know too.

    Thanks

  3. Hi Jeff,
I've sold about 60 copies of Minimal Game so far, which is an excellent start.

    Figaro,
Amazon.com only gives you a rough estimate, but it seems to be off. People who have ordered immediately after the announcement last week have received the book already, as I have been told. This was reported from guys living in the US and ordering from Amazon.com. International shipping may take twice as long, which is my personal experience, but not four or five weeks as Amazon predicts. Thus, you should receive the book before Christmas.

  6. Thanks, Aaron! The blog is just fun pieces I write for myself, thinking out loud, no editing.

According to Amazon, the book shipped today so should have it by the 28th. Will definitely let you know how I like it.

If you're ever in the San Francisco Bay area, let me know. You've got a friend out here.

  7. That's good to know! :)
I'll surely drop you a line if I'm ever around SF. It's on the list of places I want to visit anyway, but right now I can't quite tell when I'll make it across the Atlantic again.

  8. Hey Aaron, read the book. Impressed. You're a talented writer and approached this subject in a refreshing, and importantly, useful way. Rather than beat around the bush, you went straight for what works. Many good learnings. Enjoyed reading it, thanks for writing it!

  9. Hey Kamal,

I'm happy to hear that, and feel flattered, because I know how how impressive your own writing is! Feedback like this means a lot to me.

By the way, if you have a few minutes to spare, I'd really appreciate if you posted a (short) review on Amazon.com. One paragraph would be perfectly fine. Here's the link to the product page of Minimal Game: http://www.amazon.com/dp/3942017032/

    Thanks a lot!

  10. Done...with pleasure. Interestingly, realized that in all these years, yours is the second book I've reviewed on Amazon - I should do more, I rely on reviews on most of my Amazon buying decisions. The other book I reviewed is "How to be the luckiest man alive" by James Altucher. He's one of the best things on the web, by the way. Check out his blog or his books.

  11. Thank you very much!

I know about James Altucher. His blog is one of the view I keep an eye on. "How to be the Luckiest Man Alive" is actually on my "potential buy" list of books.
