On my forum we were discussing the importance of dressing sexy. In this thread, one guy, discuss, posted two pictures that illustrate very well how much your appearance changes if you put on clothes that show off your body. It's one thing to talk about it, but quite another when you see it on pictures.
First, we have some dude who looks rather average. He wouldn't really stand out. Heck, you can't even tell what his body is like. You'll be very surprised when you see the second picture of him, though.
...but now look at this picture:
It's a difference like night and day. Yes, it's the same guy.
Hi Aaaron, this is a very interesting topic. Could you please state more examples of "dressing sexy" - ok, the v-neck shirt is a good example, and I might add slim cut jeans or a tight fitting leather jacket ... but what else?
ReplyDeleteCheck out the discussion on my forum. Also, look up my articles on "sexual stereotyping." Lastly, in Minimal Game, I discuss this topic more abstractly, but it might still give you good pointers.
DeleteThere's a slight optical illusion here simply because it's on a white background. The blue top definitely shows off his physique better but the white T-shirt looks better and accentuates his tan.
ReplyDeleteHe also seems a lot cooler/laid back in the white tee, the blue seems to shout out "Hey, look at these new pecs I got, ladies!" - too try hard in my opinion.
But I guess it comes down to the sort of woman you're after and the type of club/scene you hang at.
Sure, it all depends on the kind of woman you want and the environment you are in. However, you can surely also imagine him wearing a tight shirt that's not quite as "loud" as the one in the picture. In any case, if you make an effort to work on your body, you might want to show it off as well. In the first picture, he may look more "laid back" but he'll surely also get a lot less attention.
DeleteThe darker shirt appears to accentuate his pectorals, which is an important feature women notice.
ReplyDeleteAs the saying goes, "no pecs, no sex." ;)
