Interview in German fanzine AntiEverything

Some weeks ago I mentioned that the fanzine AntiEverything is going to publish a lengthy interview with me. In the meantime, the eighth issue has been released.

On the official blog, a number of retailers are listed. Also, it's possible to order it directly from the publisher. Pages 66 to 74 are filled with said interview as well as a sample chapter of Schmierige Geschichten, the German edition of Sleazy Stories.

Teaser: Cover of German Edition of Sleazy Stories

The German edition of Sleazy Stories with the title "Schmierige Geschichten" will be released very soon. If everything goes according to plan, which it so far does, you'll be able to order it next week already. I will release a sample PDF file as well. Quick Update on German Translation of Sleazy Stories

Phew!

If you have been waiting for the German translation of Sleazy Stories, which I've kept hinting at for possibly a year now, I can assure you that the wait will very soon be over. All that is left to do right now are some minor modifications with the cover design. Expect the release announcement within a few days.

My non-German speaking fan crowd has no reason to despair either: I'll have a nice little revelation for you tomorrow.

Quick Update: Upcoming Books, Posts, and a Seminar, too!

I have been incredibly busy with my life in recent months, and I'm spending most of the summer travelling. However, I will update the blog a bit more regularly in the future.

My email inbox is overflowing; and I think I'll do some more "community bashing". However, even though some of my critics love to accuse me for "being negative", a more than just cursory glance at those posts should make it obvious that there is plenty of "value" in those contributions.

Updates on Sleazy Stories for Kindle

Amazon has updated its Kindle Stores. This means that you can now buy Sleazy Stories for the following prices:

Amazon US Kindle store: $0.99

Amazon UK Kindle Store: £0.71

Amazon German Kindle Store: €0.79

This is great news because previously the pricing seemed to vary a lot, with some people reporting up to $3.44, which was also irritating because my share of the revenue remained the same, and Amazon simply pocketed an additional $2.50.

Sleazy Stories now for Amazon's Kindle — only $0.99!

In my last post I mentioned I was in the process of converting Sleazy Stories to Kindle, and it turned out that this was a rather straightforward process. Here's a random excerpt thanks to Amazon's Kindle Previewer:

Some sacrifices had to be made for formatting. Kindle uses a simplified HTML layout engine, which means that the book doesn't quite reach the level of the paperback version, which was typeset in LaTeX. I'm nonetheless satisfied with the result because the text is very readable and easy to navigate.

Also, since this is my first foray into e-publishing, and because I view Sleazy Stories as a test balloon, I'll make you the very sweet offer of setting the retail price for the ebook at just $0.99. Pricing in other regions is accordingly. It should be 75p in the United Kingdom,  for instance. However, in other regions, the price may be higher, which is due to some policy of Amazon, since I can only set the price for the UK and US market. Get Sleazy Stories now if you haven't bought it already! :)

Sleazy Stories finally on Kindle

Upcoming Releases

Today, I have started on converting Sleazy Stories for Amazon's Kindle. I have done a rough first conversion of the text, but there are some minor formatting issues which have yet to be sorted out. I will keep you updated about the status of this project.

Also, I have finished the translation of Sleazy Stories into German. The book has to go through just one more proof-read. If everything works out, it will be released as a paperback as well as in an ebook version for Kindle.

It's been almost a year now since I have released Debunking the Seduction Community. The effect this ebook had was beyond my wildest expectations, and I still regularly receive emails about it. I have gathered a lot of material for an update, but I also want to keep it as concise as possible. This means that I will probably only release a minor update, but the few pages of new content should be worth it.

Lastly, I have been working on a manuscript for an instructional book on seduction for a while. The promise is nothing more than to lay out the most concise, efficient and versatile approach to seduction. The feedback I have received on drafts has been ecstatic. The book is currently in its final stages, and I'll reveal more about it soon. However, if you ask me when I'll be releasing it, I'll take the same stance as ID Software does with its games: "When it's done."

Chase Amante reviews Sleazy Stories

Chase Amante from Girls Chase has reviewed my book Sleazy Stories. He has written a lengthy and balanced article. My favorite part is:

Some of the most rewarding parts of the book, at least for me, come when Aaron reaches important realizations: when he reasons he’s been playing his dates too safe, for instance, and starts moving faster and taking more risks. Assanova Reviews The Sleazy Stories

One of the blogs I follow is run by Assanova, who is one of the sane voices in the "seduction community". Part of it might be due to the fact that he is not affiliated with any pickup company and is therefore free to tell the honest truth. Love Systems and others would quickly go out of business if they promoted views such as:

So many of you go out night after night, trying to work this angle and that angle, spending a ridiculous amount of money on alcohol, while playing a massive numbers game. For a second, think about all of the nights that you went out trying to work this angle and that angle, only to end up with a bunch of flakes. Imagine how toned you would be by now if you even spent a fraction of that time in the gym.

Why do flakes happen?

Flakes can happen because of a lack of Attraction, Qualification, or Comfort. It’s not just a Comfort issue like most people assume. If a flake happens, think back to the interaction for clues as to what caused it. If a woman called you cute you know Attraction wasn’t the problem, and it’s either Qualification or Comfort. Of course it couldn't be that the best "attraction game" there is consists of getting a decent haircut, work out, and get some good clothes. But I'm already rambling. Let's get back to Assanova. He has recently reviewed my book Sleazy Stories. Here is an excerpt:

Sleazy Stories in German submitted to Publisher

Today I've finished one of the major milestones I had set for myself this year: the translation of my paperback Sleazy Stories into German. It is now on the desk of the publisher and will go through the usual proofreading and layouting process.

I don't know the release date yet, but I will post it as soon as I know. It should be in stores and available online in autumn or winter.

Upcoming: Sleazy Stories in German

This year has been rather productive so far. Some weeks ago I've released "Debunking the Seduction Community", and currently I am finalizing the draft of the German translation of "Sleazy Stories". If everything goes according to plan, it'll be available this autumn or winter.

I won't stop there, though. Some days ago I've outlined my next book --- no, not the sequel to Sleazy Stories ---, and I will reveal more once I've got a substantial amount of work done.

Sleazy Stories: New Sample available

I have recently uploaded a new and expanded sample of Sleazy Stories, which is now 64 pages long. If you haven’t bought the book yet, check it out. You can download it on my website or read it online on Scribd.

So far, Sleazy Stories has been very rewarding. The vast majority of feedback has been extremely positive. My favourite reader comment is the following:

Frankly, I found the book to be immensely entertaining and about as fascinating as a neon colored high speed euro-rail train wreck

Apart from the entertainment factor, some people said it changed their lives (at least their love life), others found it hugely inspiring and motivating, and quite a few people lauded the dry humour and fine irony.

On a side note, a rough draft for the sequel to Sleazy Stories already exists. I have something else to finish first, though, so don’t hold your breath (yet).

A new blog, a new start

Apparently I just can't keep my mouth shut. A mere week after deciding to give up my self-hosted Wordpress blog I am back. This time it's on blogger because I like this platform a lot.

But what happened with your previous blog? Well, some people may find it interesting or even entertaining to play around with software configurations, source code and whatnot. But I am not one of those people. I want simplicity and ease of use. Especially the former made me switch back to blogger.

This must be the second or third blog I've had. The first one was simply a collection of posts from mASF, which was hosted on Wordpress.com. It did work fairly well, but eventually I hosted my own. Then it struck me to make it the foundation for my website AaronSleazy.com. Unfortunately, the limitations of Wordpress as a CMS became fairly obvious and I switched to Drupal for the site, and kept a separate blog until it became to burdensome to produce content and maintain the system.

Now I am back on blogger. Back, you may ask? Yes, because I have a private archive of all my naughty stories on blogger since this was and is the most convenient way for me to keep a diary. No, I won't ever open it to the public. Sorry. I like to tease people, though. It doesn't matter because a good part of it appeared in my book Sleazy Stories. There is already enough content for a sequel to this book, but this probably won't appear for a few years.

In the meantime, check this blog often for updates, reader questions, rants and the occasional article.
